Tyndale had this book not long after I saw the the movie, “To Kill a Mockingbird,” which was quite excellent, and right after my mom gave me her old copy of the book. Therefore, it was only natural that I should be interested in a devotional to go along with it – which proved to be quite good and uplifting.

While I think some of the author’s views on ‘allegorical threads’ running through the book are a bit far-reaching, it does help one to gain insight into the thought that goes into allegorical books, as well as deepening your knowledge of the characters.

I wouldn’t say this goes into a ‘favorites’ category, but it was a good book.

Ages: 12+ (it is written more for adults, but isn’t in any way innapropriate).

Also included are valuable resources, interesting facts about the needy in the world and how little it takes to make a big difference, and other interactive elements such as journaling opportunities for writing personal ideas and service goals.

Teens will learn that their role in life is bigger than themselves, and that they’re not too young to make a difference for God.

This book was really fantastic – I”m still going through it! I would highly recommend it to any teen.
